Skyrim: Alchemy

So it took me six days to get back here and write after downloading the PC version of Skyrim...

The game is absolutely amazing and has a very interesting refining/crafting systems; my favorite so far is their new system for Alchemy.

In order to craft potions one must first render 'Ingredients', these are anything from mushrooms found deep within an underground tunnel to dragon flies snatched from the waters edge; each ingredient holding it's own enchanting effects.

The enchanting effects of an ingredient can be determined by consuming the ingredient itself or by using that ingredient in a potion attempt. Once consumed, an enchanting property of the ingredient is then learned and can be used to craft potions that correspond to that enchantment.

Once two or more of a like ingredient are attained, you will then need to locate and use an Alchemy Lab. These can be found randomly around Skyrim and will just need to be activated by standing in front of them.
